January 9th, 2012

Meeting begins at 6:35

President ’ s Message (Kelly Shera):
- Bottle Drive coming up on Saturday
- Kelly announced that we are now starting to work on movie night – details to follow
- PAC hot lunch – Alison has offered to get order sheets ready for next set of hot lunches. We will be doing pizza again.

Mrs Dayle Robertson:
Present for funding request: Aqua sport - 4 week program at Commonwealth starting at the end of this month (kayaking, water polo, diving etc) $1648
Mrs Robertson explained that she needs an answer asap to confirm this program. As Sanci is absent from tonight’s meeting, Mrs Robertson is going to email her tonight for confirmation. The PAC is in agreeance for this to proceed but we need confirmation from Sanci/Treasurer that monies are available.

Vice-Principal ’ s Message (Julia Fellman):
Julia is submitting a Funding request: 2 authors to do a presentation for Literacy week - $800
Grades K-2 Diana Bonder
Grades 3-5 Chris Tuas

January:
12th - Bottle Drive
16th - Rogers 21st Birthday
21-25th Literacy Week (authors coming in - funding request)
25th - Ready Set Learn
28th - Feb 1st Kindergarten Registration Week
28th - FAS testing - Grade 4s only
30th - PAC lunch
Ready Set Learn - looking for volunteers to help out with stations: Fiona, Emma and Kelly volunteered. Need a few more.
Kindergarten Registration Jan 28th - Feb 1st: School and District websites will have all information.
Grade 5 Transfer Information:
- All information will go home with all Grade 5s. Middle schools will have open houses.
- Feeder school is Cedar Hill - open House Tuesday, Jan 29th at 7pm
- Deadline for transfers (as most of Rogers parents will be) is February 22nd

February:
11th - BC Family Day
14th - Spirit Day - Red and White Day
15th - Pro D Day (all 3 districts)
14th - 22nd -
27th - Anti Bullying Day
27th - PAC Lunch Day
March:
6th - Report Cards
8th - Last day before Spring Break
